DEATH AND CUTTING FINGER        What do you do to show your sadness when one of your family died? Are you sad, crying, or maybe hysterical?        It’s different with mountain communities in Papua especially for Dani ethnic in Wamena . They have a unique tradition that we never find it. Do you know what the tradition is? Right, the tradition is cutting finger.        If one of their family died, they cut their knuckles. W hy they do it? They believe that the finger is a symbol of togetherness in their life. The fingers work together to build a force, so our hands can be used perfectly. If we lose one of the knuckles, our work doesn’t run maximally.
